- 1893Started as a trading company, Yamaguchi Yasohachi Shoten, in the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.
- 1908Opened Teikoku-sha Foods Department Factory in Minami Yoshida-cho, Yokohama.
- 1920Founded Teikoku Hormone Research Institute within the factory; this was the beginning of our pharmaceutical business, Teikoku Hormone Mfg.
- 1921Launch of SPERMATIN, the first porcine organ extract and male gonadal hormone agent.
- 1926Introduction of a labor inducer, ATONIN.
- 1929Incorporated as Teikoku Hormone Mfg. Research Laboratory Co., Ltd.
- 1936Opened an office (later Iwate Factory) in a small village of Makibori (now a part of Morioka City) in Iwate Prefecture for procurement and extraction of pregnant mare urine.
- 1940Opened Memuro Factory in the town of Memuro in Hokkaido to ensure stable supply of pregnant mare urine.
- 1945Renamed to Teikoku Hormone Mfg. Co., Ltd.
- 1955Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
- 1957Launch of animal drugs, SYNAHORIN and OVAHORMONE BENZOATE, and veterinary-only SEROTROPIN.
- 1959Formed a new division dedicated to sales promotion of our animal drug products.
- 1960 – 1970Expanded our veterinary pharmaceutical portfolio. (seven hormone products were launched additionally)
- 1976Launched a new Veterinary Drug Unit.
- 1981Partnered with Takeda Pharmaceuticals for distribution of a GnRH product, CONCERAL INJECTION.
- 1985Partnered with Upjohn and Takeda Pharmaceuticals in support of the distribution of a prostaglandin product, PRONALGON F.

- 2000Renamed to Animal Health Division and opened our own distribution channels.
- 2005Merged with Grelan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and established ASKA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
